NO!!! Ever have one for a boss? Ugh. Even in their everyday lives, they are unreasonable. They have to ask the elders about the most mundane and personal things. They must pray and get Jehovah's mind on whether they should relocate for that job they want that will improve their financial situation. They turn down jobs for meetins and service. They would rather die and let a loved one die before taking into their body a symbol, only a symbol. Nothing about any of that is normal or reasonable.

by karter inas a jw we were always told worldly people were bad always out for what they could get out of you.
as for me iv'e made some good friends not anything as bad as the jw's said they woul'd be.

I'm having a hard time convincing members of my family that non-JW's are quite normal and principled. They still say that the worst JW is better than the best worldly person. But they are the freaks.

I'll bet user wannabees would be motivated enough to rally! Problem is though that it could ruin some of our career to do so. Make it in the paper and watch our careers hit bottom. Man, I'd rally for the stuff if I didn't think it would do me secular damage. Once it's legalized, no one would care. The problem would be before it's legal. No one can get away for campaigning for illegal stuff. At least, I'm too chicken to try.

How come the women's restrooms always stink at assemblies....
by tan ini mean i use public restrooms...even gas station restrooms on occassions and they never smelled like the assembly bathrooms.
i thought that they were suppose to be clean people????.
just thought i'd ask....

BB, I was talking about the US, not Canada. That is where you were, right? If you went to somewhere in the US, where was it? I went to assemblies in WA, OR, NC, PA, and NJ. Smell-O-Rama. Our sisters were in there all the time, too, but why did ours knock us out and not yours? Cleaning products? Oh, diapers maybe? Babies being changed in the same room as the toilets? What went wrong?

many people or couples wrote their stories about either their life aboard a sailing yacht, or their time they put mainland life on hold for a year or more and lived their dream of cruising on an sailing yacht.
this became my dream, and i have sailed extensively since age 13. i also loved photography, and that goes real well with sailing exploration, and life aboard among the islands.. my first jw wife liked that dream too, my second jw wife does not!

This is for DA's and CA's: Hot strong smelly amonia urine smell from the constant line of sisters and kids of both sexes using the women's restroom made me gag every time.
Also, yes, in the US at least, we were only allowed one paper towel per person per washing. They were thin and my hands were still shiny wet after using just one.
Yes, In the 90's, they began covering the DA's mirrors with white paper so we would not spend so much time in there. It was the toilets that were the problem, not the mirrors. When each sister goes to the bathroom, she takes about 2 or 3 kids with her. If she doesn't have kids, she will take her friend's kids when the friend doesn't have to go. The dad is in and out in about two minutes at most wondering why his wife and children are still outside and around the corner in line.
I don't believe there is anyway to subdue all of that urine smell with lines like those.
